Engaging Entertainment
OneTimeBlind does amazing skits that really get you to think about the Christian faith and your personal relationship with God. They vividly show us the underlying reality of the common ruts that Christians get stuck in. The skits are entertaining to watch, but they also get us thinking! I really love them.

Lamplighter is a Christian ministry that is passionate about providing families with God honoring stories. Many of the books they sell are classics or hidden treasures that were written by Christians in the past centuries (books that were all but lost to recent generations). Lamplighter also makes audio dramas based on these stories. I love how much they incorporate God's Word into these stories. Some of these stories are a bit intense, so you may want to preview them before you read them to young children or let young children listen to the audio dramas. I haven't read and listened to all of their stories, but most of the ones I've listed to were quite good.
Here is a link to Lamplighter's website.
(You can see all of their books and audio dramas more clearly if you go to the store section.) |
Bible Study
OpenBible.info is an amazing Bible study resource. My two favorite tools are the topical verse and cross reference tools. They are both fantastic for finding relevant verses! One of the best things about these tools is that people can vote on which verses are most relevant to the topic so all of the most relevant verses are at the top of the page.

Personal Testimonies
All three of the following websites (the pictures are links) have numerous testimonies which are very real. As every Christian's testimonies of God's work in our human lives, they are powerful stories of God's love and power. However you should be aware that there is a lot of mention of the sinful behaviors which God saved them out of. |
Have you ever thought about what your testimonies are? Testimonies are more than just about the change of when and how you became a Christian, they are about any time you have seen God work in your life. They also don't have to be about "massive" change (ex. going from a drug addict to a full time pastor). Even the "little" things God has done in our lives are a huge testimony. (It's about going from a place of disobedience, for example lying, to a place of obedience.) Recognizing these stories in our lives help us to be more thankful for how God is working in our personal lives.
